Joseph has been signed by LSG for IPL 2024.
West Indies cricket team’s rising fast bowler Shamar Joseph is currently facing injury. It is noteworthy that he got injured on his toe on a yorker ball from Mitchell Starc during the last Test match on the Australia tour.
Joseph’s injury was so serious that because of it he was out of the International League T20 and the ongoing Pakistan Super League. It is noteworthy that after his brilliant performance by taking 7 wickets in Australia’s second innings and winning the match against West Indies in the Gabba Test matches, PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi immediately signed him.
On the other hand, the IPL franchise has added the Caribbean player to the team for IPL 2024 as a replacement for Mark Wood, who has withdrawn from the tournament due to some undisclosed reason.
Shamar Joseph gave a big statement
Let us tell you that Shamar Joseph, who is currently recovering from injury, was quoted by Cricket West Indies (CWI) as saying – At present, my condition is improving. My feedback from the doctor is very positive, and I am likely to get maximum output very soon.
Joseph further said – Cricket West Indies head coaches Andrew Cooley and Darren Sammy, the Guyana Cricket Board, my PSL and IPL franchises have been very helpful in encouraging me. Now I can’t wait to get back on the field. I want to give my best performance for the cricket fans of West Indies and Guyana. I want to make them all proud.
From this statement given by Shamar Joseph, you can guess that he can return to the field very soon. However, now only 20 days are left for the IPL to start, it will be interesting to see whether he is able to play for Lucknow Super Giants or not?
