Rosemary Mair has been recalled to the Kiwi team for the first time after the 2023 Sri Lanka tour.
New Zealand Women vs England Women 2024: The England women’s cricket team is going to tour New Zealand this month for a five-match T20 International series and a three-match ODI series. A five-match T20 international series will be played between England and New Zealand women’s team from March 19.
After this, both the teams will face each other in a three-match ODI series from April 1. The T20I matches between New Zealand and England will be played on March 19, 22, 24, 27 and 29 respectively, while the three ODI matches are scheduled for April 1, 4 and 7. Meanwhile, New Zealand has announced its team for the upcoming limited overs series against England. New Zealand has recalled star bowlers Rosemary Mair and Brooke Halliday to the team for the home series against England.
Rosemary Mair’s New Zealand Women’s team returns
Rosemary Mair has been recalled to the Kiwis squad for the first time after the 2023 tour of Sri Lanka, thanks to her stellar performances in domestic cricket. Whereas, Brooke Halliday has returned to the team after recovering from a leg injury, due to which she could not play in the limited overs series against Pakistan.
As reported by ESPNcricinfo, New Zealand women’s head coach Ben Sawyer said: “Rosemary has had a fantastic domestic season, she has been a vital part of the Central Hinds team this summer and has performed brilliantly with her leadership and extra pace . “We identified where Rosemary needed to work on in her game after the Sri Lanka tour, and we have been impressed with the way she has improved.”
