The final of the Indian Premier League 2010 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in Navi Mumbai. In this match, Chennai Super Kings, batting first, scored 168 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, Suresh Raina played an unbeaten match-winning inning of 57 runs in 35 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes.
Mumbai Indians team, which came to chase the target, failed to bat well and could only score 146 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of Mumbai Indians, the then team captain Sachin Tendulkar had scored 48 runs in 45 balls with the help of 7 fours. However, Sachin failed to lead his team to victory.
