Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) is confident that India’s time will also come to win the ICC trophy. Rohit Sharma said that the team does not need to think about what happened in the past, and they just have to play every match wholeheartedly.

Let us tell you, India has not been able to win the ICC trophy for the last decade, and recently they had to face a crushing defeat against Australia in the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India won the last ICC title in the Champions Trophy in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying by GeoCinema during the India vs England 1st Test being played in Hyderabad: “The last three years have been very good. Except the finals of ICC trophies, we have won everything. This is something that we have not been able to achieve, but I think our time will come.”

He further added, “That’s all we need to do – have a good mindset and not worry too much about things from the past, because you can’t change the past. What you can change is what’s going to happen next, so we’re all very focused on that. We are playing our hearts out.”

India’s history in ICC events has been like this

Let us tell you, after being the runner-up in the T-20 World Cup in 2014, the Indian cricket team had to exit the semi-finals in the 2015 ODI World Cup, 2016 T-20 World Cup and 2019 ODI World Cup. Apart from this, there was a defeat in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy as well as a defeat in the semi-finals in the 2022 T20 World Cup. India also lost the finals of the first two ICC World Test Championships.

And Cheteshwar Pujara’s contribution in the last two series was huge, due to which India won there. Therefore number 3 becomes a very important batting order.
