Saud Shakeel scored 141 runs in 261 balls with the help of 9 fours. He helped the team reach the score of 354 by playing an important partnership of 240 runs for the fifth wicket with Mohammad Rizwan. Shakeel was out in the 95th over of the innings against Mehdi Hasan Miraz.

Mohammad Rizwan played an innings of 171* runs for the team in the first innings with the help of 11 fours and 3 sixes in 239 balls. This is Rizwan’s third century in the Test format. Apart from these, Salman Ali Agha scored 19 runs and Shaheen Afridi played an unbeaten innings of 29 runs, due to which the team scored 448 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud took 2 wickets each in the first innings. Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan took 1 wicket each.

Bangladesh has scored 27 runs without losing any wicket in the first innings at the end of the second day’s play. Shadnam Islam (12) and Zakir Hasan (11) are unbeaten at the crease. Bangladesh is trailing the host team by 421 runs.
