The team got its first series win at home since 2021 and it is also their first win under the captaincy of Shan Masood. England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bat first. The team got off to a good start, with a 56-run partnership for the first wicket between Jack Crawley (29) and Ben Duckett (52). But then the team lost 6 wickets at the score of 118. Ollie Pope (3), Joe Root (5), Harry Brook (5) and Ben Stokes (12) returned cheaply.

Jamie Smith played the highest innings of 89 runs in 119 balls with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes. At the same time, Gus Atkinson contributed 39 runs facing 71 balls. For Pakistan, Sajid Khan took 6 wickets for 128 runs in 29.2 overs. Noman Ali took three wickets and Zahid Mahmood had one wicket.

Pakistan first innings 344/10 (96.4 overs)

Pakistan team played well in the first innings. The team’s start was not that good, they lost 4 wickets at the score of 99. Abdullah Shafiq (14), Sam Ayub (19), Shan Masood (26) and Kamran Ghulam (3) were out cheaply.

Then the team scored 344 runs on the strength of unbeaten innings of Saud Shakeel (134), Noman Ali (45) and Sajid Khan (48). For England, Rehan Ahmed took the maximum of 4 wickets for 66 runs in 17.4 overs. And Shoaib Bashir took three wickets.

England second innings- 112/10 (37.2 overs)

The England team was a complete flop in the second innings. The team could play only 37.2 overs and was all out for 112 runs. Joe Root played the highest innings of 33 runs in 52 balls for the team. For Pakistan, Noman Ali took 6 wickets for 42 runs in 18.2 overs. At the same time, Sajid Khan took four wickets for 69 runs in 18 overs.

Pakistan got the target of only 36 runs

Pakistan chased the target of 36 runs within four overs. The third over of the innings was quite exciting. Jack Leach had Sam Ayub out LBW on the very first ball. After this, Pakistani captain Shan Masood hit four consecutive fours. Then by hitting a six against Shoaib Bashir on the first ball of the fourth over, the captain led the team to victory by 9 wickets. Shan Masood played an unbeaten inning of 23 runs in 6 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six.
