BCCI has made it clear to ICC that Team India will not go to Pakistan to participate in this tournament. Hybrid model has been proposed by BCCI. According to this proposal, India can play its Champions Trophy matches in any other country other than Pakistan like Sri Lanka or UAE. But PCB has completely rejected this proposal of BCCI.
On the other hand, due to this the ICC has not been able to release the schedule of the tournament yet. The ICC is going to hold an emergency meeting on November 29 regarding the final schedule. However, before this meeting, a big statement from the PCB Chief has come out.
PCB Chief gave bold statement
Let us tell you that before this high level meeting of ICC, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi while talking to the local media made it clear that he hopes that the decision will go in favor of Pakistan. We will do whatever is good for Pakistan cricket.
Mohsin said- Once again I am saying, rest of you yourself are wise. It is not possible that Pakistan should go to India and play and India should not come here and play. So whatever happens will be on par. I promise you whatever happens, it will be best for Pakistan.
