The Pakistan cricket team is going to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh from August 21. PCB has announced the squad for this series. Shan Masood will lead the team, while the board has removed Shaheen Afridi from the post of vice-captain and handed over this responsibility to Saud Shakeel.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh, the board has appointed former Australian head coach Tim Nielsen as the team’s high-performance coach in the Test format.

A source in the Pakistan Cricket Board has said that Tim Nielsen was recommended by Jason Gillespie for the role of high performance coach because both of them have worked together at the South Australia Cricket Academy. Tim Nielsen has played the role of head coach of the Australian team from 2007 to 2011, during his tenure the team won the Champions Trophy in 2010.

Tim Nielsen has joined head coach Jason Gillespie and other support staff ahead of the start of the Test series against Bangladesh. Before the start of the series, the Pakistani team will be a part of the training camp, which will begin on August 11. The first Test match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi from 21-15 August. At the same time, the second Test match will be played in Karachi from 30 August to 3 September.
