Like a common man, Rahul Dravid stood in line and voted.
Team India head coach Rahul Dravid cast his vote in Bengaluru on Friday, April 26. With Lok Sabha elections being held in multiple phases across India, Dravid took time out from his busy schedule to cast his vote. Meanwhile, when asked by the media about the election and voting process, Dravid shared his valuable opinion on this issue.
Actually, in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is taking place on 88 seats in 13 states on Friday. These seats also include the Bengaluru seat, where Team India coach Rahul Dravid is a voter. Dravid exercised his franchise at the polling booth located in Dollar Colony, Bengaluru North.
Rahul Dravid cast his vote by standing in line like a common man.
Rahul Dravid himself drove his car to the voting booth and stood in the queue of people already waiting to vote. Seeing his simplicity, everyone once again became his admirer. Rahul Dravid was made its brand ambassador by the Election Commission of Karnataka for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Dravid was made the brand ambassador to woo voters, but his own name was struck off from the voter list.
After casting his vote, he appealed to the rest of the voters across the country to also cast their vote. Talking to the media after casting his vote, the great batsman said, “Everyone must come out to vote. This is the opportunity that we have got from democracy.”

Apart from Dravid, former Indian Test captain and great leg spinner Anil Kumble also cast his vote. Both the veterans live in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka and voting is being held on 14 Lok Sabha seats here on Friday. Both the players are enjoying holidays these days.
