Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Rameez Raja has recently given his stand regarding the coverage of the three-match T20 series being played between Pakistan and Ireland. Rameez Raja has compared the coverage of this T20 series with the club level game.

Let us tell you, before the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan and Ireland are playing a three-match T20 series against each other. So far two matches have been played between these two teams. The first T20 was won by Ireland while the second was won by Pakistan. Players of both the teams have performed very well in this T20 series so far. According to Rameez Raja, because of this coverage, Pakistan cricket is being blamed wrongly.

While sharing the video on his official YouTube channel, Rameez Raja said, ‘One thing I would like to talk about is that the coverage of the T20 series is very poor. Watching these matches it feels like we are watching a club match. There are few cameras here and no DRS and replays at all. Not only this, many things regarding the boundary are also not clear. It is no fun at all to watch a good ball or shot and it is hurting our brand too. It is very important to correct this.

Pakistan defeated Ireland in the second T20

Talking about the first T20, Ireland performed brilliantly and defeated Pakistan by five wickets. In the first T20 played in Dublin, Pakistan, batting first, scored 182 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Ireland won the match by taking 5 wickets. Andrew Balbirnie played a match-winning inning of 77 runs for the hosts.

Pakistan won the second T20 by 7 wickets. Batting first, Ireland scored 193 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, thanks to Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten inning of 75 runs and Fakhar Zaman’s stormy inning of 78 runs, Pakistan won the match within 17 overs. The three-match T20 series is currently tied at 1-1.
