Earlier, opener Bhupen Lalwani scored 19 runs, while Shams Mulani and Suryansh Shegde returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 and 20 runs respectively. Mumbai’s derailed innings was given a boost by Musheer Khan who single-handedly bailed him out of a difficult situation and helped his team post 248 runs for the loss of five wickets on the board by the end of the first day’s play.

Bhargav Bhatt took four wickets for Baroda on the first day of the 2024 Ranji Trophy quarter-final match against Mumbai, while Ninad Rathwa got one wicket. Now Musheer Khan (128*) and Hardik Tamore (30*) will start the second day’s play for Mumbai.
