Madhya Pradesh fast bowler Kulwant Khejroliya created Ranji Trophy history by taking four wickets in consecutive balls during the big win over Baroda at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Monday. Playing in just his fifth game of the tournament, Kulwant wreaked havoc with the ball after MP made 454 in the first innings, dismissing Baroda for 132 before following on.
After this, while playing follow on, Shashwat Rawat played an innings of 105 runs, but then there was chaos from Kulwant Khejroliya. Khejroliya first dismissed Shashwat Rawat and then created history by taking three wickets in the next three balls.

Kulwant Khejroliya dismissed Mahesh Pithiya, Bhargav Bhatt and AM Singh in the next three balls after Shashwat. All three batsmen could not open the account. Kulwant became only the third Indian bowler to take a double four-trick (four wickets in four balls) in first-class cricket. Before him, Shankar Saini of Delhi had done this feat in 1988 and Mohammad Mudashir of Jammu and Kashmir had done this feat in 2018.
Incidentally, Mudashir and Khejroliya are now the only bowlers to have achieved a double hat-trick or four-trick in first-class and a hat-trick in List A cricket. Kulwant also got his first first-class five-wicket haul in the same match by dismissing all-rounder Atit Sheth. In this match, Madhya Pradesh defeated Baroda by an innings and 52 runs. They now top Elite Group D with 26 points after six rounds.
For his brilliant performance, Kulwant was also awarded the Player of the Match award. Khejroliya IPL Have also played. He has been a part of Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He made his debut in IPL in 2018. Since then, Kulwant has played 7 matches in IPL in which he has taken 5 wickets.
