Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Naseeb Khan told the Times of India in Kabul, ‘Rashid Khan had an operation last year and after that the doctor advised him to stay away from Test cricket for at least 1 year. Rashid Khan also agreed to this. During the Shpageeza tournament, we got reports that Rashid Khan has not faced any problem with his injury and he is currently completely fit.

Not only this, the Afghanistan team has to play an ODI series against South Africa in the UAE from September 18 and looking at Rashid’s health, it can be said that he is fully available for this series.

Earlier this week, Rashid Khan was also not included in the preliminary squad for the one-off Test against New Zealand starting in Greater Noida from September 9. Rashid Khan was away from cricket for 4 months after the end of the ODI World Cup 2023.
