Former England captain Nasir Hussain has expressed hope of the return of India’s star young cricketer Rishabh Pant in the year 2024. Pant, who was ruled out due to a serious car accident last year, is currently undergoing rehab to regain fitness and is aiming to make a comeback before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in the West Indies and America.

Hussain, the biggest fan of Pant’s aggressive approach, is eagerly awaiting the return of the 26-year-old player. He believes that Pant will make a comeback in 2024 and play great cricket. The wicketkeeper-batsman is known for his aggressive style. Many fans are also waiting for Pant’s strong comeback on the cricket stage. Apart from this, he also revealed how former Australia captain and Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting has been keeping a close eye on Rishabh Pant for a long time.

Rishabh Pant’s accident happened on 30 December 2022

On the morning of December 30, 2022, a tragic incident shook the hearts of Indian cricket fans as Rishabh Pant met with a horrific car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway. After this, a CCTV footage shows that when he was going to his home to celebrate New Year with his family, his car collided with a divider and that is why the accident happened.

After this the Uttarakhand batsman managed to escape with the help of local people but he needed immediate medical attention. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) report revealed the seriousness of Pant’s injuries, stating that he suffered two cuts on his forehead and a torn ligament in his right knee.

There were bruises as well as scratches on his right wrist, ankle and toes. This incident shocked the fans, but despite serious injuries, Pant survived and this was a big relief for everyone.
