It is noteworthy that in the IPL mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, former Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has been added to the team by Lucknow Super Giants by making a record bid of Rs 27 crore. So there is also a possibility that Pant can be seen captaining LSG in the 18th season.

He has been a tremendous player for the franchise. He is probably the best all-rounder in T-20 today. He has been phenomenal for us and has done a great job as the vice-captain of the franchise.

Whenever Rishabh was not available, whenever Rishabh was injured, Axar stepped up and played a big role. He’s a happy guy, he keeps the dressing room very light. He’s a simple character and he’s someone who, I think, can do very good work.
