However, players like Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli have been rested for the Sri Lanka series and their chances of joining the team are low. If Rohit Sharma does not play in this series, then KL Rahul can captain the ODI series. Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer can also return to the ODI team.
