Rohit Sharma’s poor form continues in Test cricket, failed to play a big innings in the first Test against England

Currently, the first test match between India and England is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In this excellent match, England won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, England scored 246 runs after losing all the wickets in the first innings.

In reply, the Indian team made a very good start but captain Rohit Sharma once again failed to score big. Rohit Sharma scored 24 runs in 27 balls with the help of three fours in the first innings of the first test. Rohit Sharma also made an important partnership of 80 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the first wicket. However, his wicket was taken by England’s experienced spinner Jack Leach.

Rohit Sharma wanted to play a big shot against Jack Leach. But the English spinner reduced the speed of the ball due to which it did not hit the bat properly and went high in the air. English Test captain Ben Stokes caught this ball very well and gave the first blow to the Indian team.

Even though the Indian team has lost its first wicket, the hosts are in a very good position at the moment and would like to score big against England.

England scored 246 runs after losing all the wickets in their first innings.

Captain Ben Stokes batted very well for England and scored 70 runs in 88 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. In this match, England had made a very good start but the Indian spinners gave a tremendous comeback to the hosts. Apart from Ben Stokes, experienced batsman Joe Root contributed 29 runs while Jonny Bairstow played a valuable inning of 37 runs. Ben Duckett played a brilliant inning of 35 runs.

For India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each. At present the Indian team is in a strong position in this test match and it remains to be seen which team wins this match?
