The second and final Test match between India and South Africa will be played in Cape Town from January 3.
India’s tour of South Africa 2023-24, SA vs IND: Difficulties are continuously increasing for the Indian cricket team on the South Africa tour. Now another worrying news is coming out from the Indian camp. Actually, Indian cricket team’s sim bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur (Shardul Thakur) got injured during the net session, which is not good news for Rohit Sharma led Team India.
Shardul Thakur may be out of second test against South Africa
According to PTI, the Indian cricket team may soon suffer a major setback as Shardul Thakur suffered a shoulder injury while batting in the nets on December 30. Thakur may miss the second and final Test to be played between India and South Africa from January 3 in Cape Town.

At present, there is no information whether Shardul’s injury requires scanning or not, but if needed, the depth of the injury can be ascertained through scanning. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur was seen in a lot of pain after being hit by the short ball and could not even bowl during the net session. He was the first player to participate in the throwdown net session.
Shardul Thakur’s left shoulder injured
Shardul suffered an injury on his left shoulder while facing the throwdown of Team India’s batting coach Vikram Rathore. The incident happened about 15 minutes into the net session, when Vikram Rathor bowled a throwdown that was wide of the length. Thakur failed to defend the short ball which hit him on his left shoulder and he immediately screamed in pain. Although the Indian all-rounder continued to bat in the nets, he was not able to bowl.
