T20 World Cup 2024: Super-8, Match-41: SA vs USA: The first match of the Super-8 round in the T20 World Cup 2024 was played between South Africa and America on 19 June. South Africa batted first in this match and scored 194 runs on the board. The team’s opener batsman Quinton de Kock could not perform well in the group stage round. But in Antigua, he played a brilliant innings against America.

Jesse Singh bowled the fourth over of South Africa’s innings. This was the first over of the bowler’s spell. On the very first ball, captain Aiden Markram drove towards cover and hit a four. Markram ran a run on the next ball and gave the strike to Quinton de Kock. Facing the third ball of the over, de Kock hit a big four towards mid-wicket by playing a pull shot.

On the next ball, Quinton de Kock again targeted mid-wicket and hit a six, but this ball turned out to be a no-ball. He then hit huge sixes on the next two balls as well. No run came on the last ball of the over and the South African team scored 28 runs in this over.

Quinton de Kock played a brilliant innings of 74 runs in 40 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes against America. He lost his wicket against Harmeet Singh in the 13th over of the innings.
