Former Sri Lankan cricket team opener and current team’s interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya has made a big statement about Indian team’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and experienced fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah.

In his statement, Jayasuriya has talked about various aspects of Jaiswal’s game and said that the Indian cricket team has done a great job by investing in him. Also, Jayasuriya says that bowlers like Bumrah are successful because of their open-mindedness.

Let us tell you that in a recent interview with The Times of India, Jayasuriya said about 22-year-old young player Yashasvi Jaiswal – Jaiswal is another big talent of the Indian team. He has the passion and desire to perform well and he is working very hard to do so. He has made sacrifices and he is a dedicated kid. Therefore, he is performing.

I have heard about one skill of his and it is quite impressive for him. Recently I did a session with Zubin (Bharucha), his performance director at Rajasthan Royals, and he told me how hard Jaiswal works.

Jayasuriya further said about Jasprit Bumrah- He (Bumrah) is a unique bowler. We need to respect him and his skills. On his day, you will need to respect him, but then there are days when he does not live up to expectations, on those days you need to take advantage of him. Bowlers like him are at the top because their thinking is clear, they do what they want to do.
