Sanju Samson scored 58 runs in the fifth T20 against Zimbabwe
Sanju Samson displayed a brilliant batting performance in the fifth T20 match against Zimbabwe. When the team was in trouble after losing the first three wickets, Samson took charge of the Indian innings by making a crucial partnership with Riyan Parag.
He scored 58 runs in 45 balls with the help of 1 four and 4 sixes, due to which India set a target of 168 runs in front of Zimbabwe. In reply, Zimbabwe’s team was reduced to 125 runs in 18.3 overs and lost the match by 42 runs. Before the match, Samson gave his reaction on India becoming the T20 World Champion for the second time.

Sanju Samson told the broadcaster, “An incredible experience, when after the last ball of the 20th over we won the final in Barbados and I can remember myself, as I really could not stop smiling for the next one or two hours. The emotions were so high. So I think that, I believe that I was very lucky to be a part of such an amazing team.”
Samson further said, especially considering how we played this World Cup. I think it was a complete team effort. I think it was 11 to 12 people in total who played. All of them contributed something important. So it was a great team and everyone put in effort.
Samson did not play a single match in the T20 World Cup
