In the match, Shaheen Afridi took only two wickets in 30 overs, while Shan Masood scored only 20 runs in both innings. In the second innings, the entire Pakistan team collapsed for 146 runs.

The report also said that Mohammad Rizwan was also badly beaten up by both the players when he tried to intervene and stop the fight. This report has further tarnished the image of the Pakistan team in international cricket.

White ball coach Gary Kirsten had also expressed his displeasure over the lack of unity in the team after Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. Shaheen Afridi was out of the second test

The star left-arm pacer was ruled out of the second Test, which began on Friday, August 30. Head coach Jason Gillespie said the decision was discussed with Shaheen Afridi before taking it.

Gillespie said in the pre-match press conference, “We had a good conversation with him and he fully understands that we are considering the best combination for this match. The last few weeks have been very busy for him due to becoming a father and other reasons. This holiday will give him a chance to spend time with his family.”
