I will like it only if it is well made- Shikhar Dhawan on his biopic
Indian veteran player Shikhar Dhawan has announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket. Dhawan released a video on social media on Saturday (24 August) morning and informed about this. Shikhar Dhawan made his international cricket debut against Australia in October 2010. At the same time, he played his last match for India against Bangladesh on 10 December 2022.
Shikhar Dhawan has shown excellent performance for India in big tournaments. He won the Player of the Tournament in the U19 World Cup 2004, Champions Trophy 2013 and Asia Cup 2018. At the same time, he scored the most runs for India in Asia Cup 2014, World Cup 2015 and Champions Trophy 2017.
Meanwhile, soon after announcing his retirement, Shikhar Dhawan was asked about his biopic, talking about which he said that he would love to have a biopic made on his life. Also, Shikhar wants either Akshay Kumar or Ranveer Singh to play his role.

Shikhar Dhawan while talking to Hindustan Times said,
I would like it only if it is well made. As far as acting is concerned, if I add some value to the film, I will happily do it. As far as other actors are concerned, I would like Akshay paaji (Akshay Kumar) to do it or even Ranveer Singh, his energy is amazing.
The love I get from people will keep increasing- Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan was further asked if he fears that he will lose his fame after retirement. To which he replied that he is confident that fans will continue to love him and his fan base will grow further.
If I quit cricket, why will I lose fame? Who knows, the fame may increase even more. I am in people’s hearts not only through cricket… sometimes through my Instagram reels as well (laughs) I am sure the love I get from people will keep increasing.
