Popular Bollywood actor Sonu Sood recently shared a post on his social media handle, in which he showed his support for the cricketers amid harsh criticism of Hardik Pandya after some disappointing performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He has urged the fans to respect the players who have made the country proud.
Although Sonu Sood took the name of any cricketer in that post, but fans are associating him with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is being trolled a lot since taking over the captaincy of Mumbai Indians. Last season, Rohit Sharma was the captain of Mumbai Indians. Not only this, Pandya was also booed by cricket fans in the stadium during the ‘IPL 2024’ matches.
Sonu Sood shared a post for cricketers
Without naming any player, actor Sonu Sood wrote on X, ‘We should respect our players. The players who made us proud, the players who made our country proud. One day you cheer for him, the next day you criticize him.
He further wrote in his post, ‘It is not they, it is we who fail. I like cricket. I love every cricketer who represents my country. It doesn’t matter which franchise he plays for. It doesn’t matter whether he plays as captain or as the 15th man in the team. He is our hero. However, after some time he deleted his post.
