Sri Lanka announces its 16-man squad for the T20 series against Afghanistan


Wanindu Hasaranga will be seen captaining the Sri Lankan team in the T20 series against Afghanistan.

The three-match T20 series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is starting from 17th February. Sri Lanka Cricket has announced its 16-member team for this T20 series. Let us tell you, currently a three-match ODI series is being played between the two teams in which Sri Lanka is leading 2-0.

Sri Lankan players have performed very well in the ODI series so far and have played an important role in their team’s victory. Now the third and final ODI match between these two teams will be played on 14 February. Host Sri Lanka also won the only Test series.

Wanindu Hasaranga will be seen captaining the Sri Lankan team in the T20 series against Afghanistan, while Charith Asalanka has been included in the Sri Lankan team as the vice-captain. The host would definitely like to leave its mark in this T20 series also.

Let us tell you, all three matches of this T20 series will be played in Dambulla. Talking about Afghanistan team, their performance in the ODI series has also been quite disappointing.
