ICC annual conference: Colombo (Sri Lanka) will host the International Cricket Council (ICC) Annual Conference from July 19 to 22. This is the first time that the ICC’s annual event is being held in an Asian region.
Sri Lanka Cricket said in its statement that more than 220 delegates from 108 ICC member countries from around the world will attend this important annual conference. These delegates will include representatives from regions such as Africa, America, Asia, East Asia Pacific and Europe.

What is the issue in ICC’s annual conference this time?
The theme of the upcoming conference will be ‘Seizing the Olympic Opportunity’, where topics such as ‘Diversity and Inclusion’, ‘Environmental Sustainability and the Sport’ and ‘The Return of Cricket at Los Angeles 2028’ will be discussed.

Questions raised in T20 World Cup 2024 will also be discussed
The biggest topic of discussion will be the hosting of the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, especially the USA leg of the tournament. The ICC had built a drop-in cricket stadium in Nassau County, Long Island, where the pitch and outfield were not fully prepared, and in these conditions, bowling dominated batting. Many questions were raised about this.
