Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The host team won the toss and batted first and made a great start. The Indian bowlers had to struggle for a long time to take wickets. Akshar Patel gave the team its first breakthrough by dismissing Pathum Nissanka in the 20th over of Sri Lanka’s innings. After a great start, Sri Lanka lost its first wicket at a score of 89 runs.
