The first match of the three-match T20 series between the two teams was played on January 5 at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. Team India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia, batting first, was all out for 141 runs in 19.2 overs. On the strength of brilliant innings by Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma, India chased the target in just 17.2 overs and won by 9 wickets. With this victory, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. IND-W vs AUS-W: Titas Sadhu bowled brilliantly Due to India’s excellent bowling, the Australian women’s team was seen struggling.
