Apart from this, he has also criticized the new mentorship scheme launched recently by PCB, under which former Pakistani players Waqar Younis, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Saqlain Mushtaq and Sarfraz Ahmed will be seen working with five different teams for 3 years. This scheme will cost 5 million dollars, but Shahzad believes that after the inflation and poverty in the country, this decision of PCB is just a waste of money. It is even more insulting that the PCB claims they do not have ‘equipment for surgery’, which is a huge insult to the domestic players.
