In the final match, Team India created history by winning by 7 runs. This was the first time under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and the second time for India, when the Indian team won the T20 World Cup. India won the T20 World Cup trophy after a long wait of about 17 years. Earlier, Team India had won the first T20 World Cup edition in 2007 under the captaincy of former captain MS Dhoni. On the other hand, after winning the T20 World Cup, Team India returned home on July 4, where the team players, support staff and coaches will be felicitated in a ceremony at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
