Along with captaincy, he won the hearts of all the fans by giving a strong performance in bowling as well. Aakash Chopra shared a video on his official YouTube channel in which he said, ‘Pat Cummins said that he does not know whether he will come to IPL or not because there are other things. Cricket has to be played continuously and everyone’s thinking may be different because there is Ashes and World Cup also. Champions Trophy is also to be played and IPL also definitely fits somewhere in between all this. He also said that the new rule has come into effect. However, he also said that if his name is included in the auction, he will not back down. Mitchell Starc and other players have left and I feel that Sunrisers Hyderabad will not retain them. He will not give them Rs 18 crore. I feel so even though he has captained and bowled brilliantly. Pat Cummins will be released: Aakash Chopra Former player Aakash Chopra further said, ‘Pat Cummins will be released and he will not keep his name in the auction also. “If Rohit is bought a franchise, then consider Rs 20 crore for him” – Ashwin’s surprising statement.

Rohit And Ashwin (Image Credit- Instagram) The time of mega auction for IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 is getting closer. Many big players can participate in this auction. Last year, Mumbai Indians had replaced Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as their captain, seeing this, it is believed that this time Rohit may go in the mega auction. In 2024, Hardik Pandya was made the captain by replacing Rohit Sharma. Amidst all this, it is also being claimed in some reports that, if Rohit comes in the auction, then Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) can bid for him. Will RCB be able to buy Rohit Sharma? On this, Indian team off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that this would not be the right option for the franchise because Rohit will be sold at a very high price and there is little possibility of the franchise having much money. R Ashwin made a surprising claim about Rohit Sharma While talking on his YouTube channel, Ravi Ashwin, while answering a fan’s question, said that if Rohit is bought a franchise, then consider Rs 20 crore for him. He said, “If you are going for Rohit Sharma then you will have to keep Rs 20 crores. 20 crores went missing there.” RCB franchise already has a player like Virat Kohli, whom it will definitely retain at any cost. To retain Virat, the team will have to pay a maximum of Rs 18 crores. However, if Rohit comes in the auction, he will also have to fight with other teams and in such a situation, Rohit’s price will skyrocket. To buy Rohit, any franchise will have to spend Rs 20 crore or more. Captain Rohit Sharma, who led the Indian team to the T20 World Cup, has been in Mumbai Indians since 2011. He had captained the team since 2013 and had led the team to the title in the very first season. Under the captaincy of Rohit, Mumbai has won the title five times. Last year, when the team made Pandya the captain, Rohit was unhappy with it. There were also reports of rift between Pandya and Rohit in the team.

‘Is he worthy of becoming a player worth Rs 18 crore?’ Tom Moody does not want to see this player in MI team

Let us know about which player did Moody say this? Tom Moody (Image Credit- Twitter X) IPL 2025: Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued new rules to retain players in IPL. According to the new rules, teams will be able to retain a maximum of 6 players in the team. In the new rule, BCCI has divided the retained players into three slabs. In which teams can retain two players for Rs 18 crore each, some players for Rs 14 crore and one player for a maximum amount of Rs 11 crore. However, now a big statement has come out from former Australian cricketer and former head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad team Tom Moody regarding these new slabs. Regarding the retention of players in the Mumbai team, he has said whether Hardik Pandya is worth the retention of Rs 18 crore in the Mumbai team. Tom Moody gave a big statement Let us tell you that recently Tom Moody, quoting ESPN Cricinfo, said – Rohit Sharma must have been a little disappointed with the way things happened in the last season of IPL, and what happened in the last 6-12 months. For me, the 18 crore slab for Mumbai leaves Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik at the 14 crore slab. It is up to the team to monitor his (Hardik) performance, form and fitness. But when you analyze these things with Hardik, does he deserve to be a player worth Rs 18 crore? Is he worth it? If you want to be a Rs 18 crore player, you have to be a real match winner and do it regularly. Hardik Pandya, during his trials and tribulations in the IPL last season, struggled with both fitness and performance. But this match winner could be Tilak Verma.

RCB’s (Image Credit- Twitter X) A mega auction is going to be held in November-December this year before the IPL 2025 season and the BCCI is busy preparing for it in full swing. Virat Kohli will be bid for Rs 30 crore in IPL 2025 auction: Hugh Edmeads A comment made by IPL 2025 auctioneer Hugh Edmeades has now become a topic of discussion in the sports world. “Virat Kohli could get 30cr if he enters the IPL auction”- IPL auctioneer Hugh Edmeades He said that if Virat Kohli comes in the mega auction then he will undoubtedly get Rs 30 crore. So some fans keep advising him to leave Royal Challengers Bangalore and go to another team. However, Virat Kohli has been representing RCB since the inception of IPL. Every player may have played in different teams but only Kohli has never changed his team. The entire RCB team is very dependent on Kohli. In such a situation, the franchise cannot even think of releasing him. What do you think, will RCB release Virat Kohli? And if they do, then how much will be the bid on him in the auction?

US court’s decision in India’s favour, BYJU’s will soon pay BCCI dues of Rs 158 crore

This matter between Byju and BCCI was in court for a long time BCCI (Image Credit- Twitter X) Recently, last week, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) gave its verdict on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s outstanding dues to edtech company BYJU’s amounting to Rs 158 crore. In this decision of NCLAT, the company had to pay the dues to BCCI. However, GLAS Trust Company, a US firm that provided funds to Byju, objected to this decision and said that the company was using ill-gotten money for the payment. So, in relation to this decision of NCLAT, GLAS Trust Company filed an appeal in a US court, on which the statement of the US court has now come out. The US court has given the verdict in favor of India. While giving the verdict, the judge of this court said, as quoted by Business Standard – I am deeply concerned that I am being asked for such relief which will make the proceedings in another country fail. During the hearing of the case in the US, Byju’s was represented by Sharon Korpus via video conferencing. In his response, Korpus claimed that the US company had tried to keep the bankruptcy proceedings against BYJU’s active, which were halted due to the settlement being allowed by the tribunal. Korpus also said that this would mean an insult to India’s judicial system. BCCI owes Rs 158 crore It is worth noting that Byju’s was the main sponsor of the Indian cricket team till November 2023. During this time, the BCCI kept speaking to the board company repeatedly for payment of the outstanding bill. Due to the delay in payment by Byju’s, this amount increased to 158 crores. After this, the cricket board ended its relationship with the company as a sponsor, and filed an appeal in NCLAT for the outstanding amount, the decision of which has recently come in favor of the board.
