He contributed as a player in this league for 10 seasons from 2008-2017. In his last edition, Zaheer also captained Delhi Daredevils. He remained the Director of Cricket and Head of Global Development of Mumbai Indians from 2018-2022. LSG franchise is ready to give a big role to Zaheer Khan According to a report in ESPN Cricinfo, LSG is keen to give the former Indian cricketer (Zaheer Khan) a bigger role, including scouting and player development. The Super Giants have already roped in a star-studded coaching panel ahead of the 2024 edition, with Justin Langer as coach and Lance Klusener and Adam Voges as assistant coaches. LSG’s coaching set-up is currently headed by Justin Langer, who will continue in the role after taking over from Andy Flower as head coach ahead of IPL 2024. Lance Klusener and Adam Voges will be the assistant coaches of the team. After securing playoff berths in their first two seasons, the KL Rahul-led side fell short on net run rate to make it to the top four in 2024.
