Team India reached Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport by taking a special flight from Barbados. The Indian team was given a grand welcome at Delhi Airport. Thousands of fans had reached Delhi Airport to welcome them. From the airport, Team India left for ITC Maurya Hotel in a bus. The atmosphere was like this from the airport to the hotel There was a huge crowd of fans on the way from the airport to the hotel. Meanwhile, BCCI has shared a video on its social media account, in which it has told about the scene from Delhi airport to the hotel after the Indian team returned home. In the video shared by BCCI, Indian players are seen coming out of the airport. During this, the captain and coach of Team India also cut a special cake at the airport. Rohit came out of the plane with the World Cup trophy in his hand. After boarding the bus, the Indian players greeted the people present on the road. When the players reached the hotel, they were welcomed with drums and the players also danced to the tune of drums. Let us tell you that the Indian team won the title by defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 on 29 June. This victory was also special because after winning the first T20 World Cup in the year 2007, India had not won the title even once. But now the wait of about 17 years is over. Team India was to return home on July 1, but due to the severe storm in Barbados, the Indian team was stranded there.
