T20 World Cup 2024: Drop-in pitches installed at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York
T20 World Cup 2024 starts from June 2 Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Let us tell you that this time the Multination Tournament will be played jointly hosted by West Indies and USA from June 2. However, compared to the West Indies, the USA lacks a bit of cricket infrastructure. But before the Multination Tournament, ICC seems to be reducing this shortfall quite rapidly. In this sequence, drop-in pitches have been installed at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York today. Let us tell you that just like the drop in pitches are prepared in Adelaide Oval, Australia, these pitches were being prepared in Florida since December last year. Also, these matches have been prepared from Tahoma Bermuda’s number 31 special grade grass. The construction of the pitches was overseen by Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions and US-based sports turf specialist Landtec Group. The pitches were being taken special care of for the last three months. A total of four pitches have been laid in the middle ground of the stadium, while there are 6 more pitches in the stadium complex on which teams can practice. On the other hand, after the installation of the pitch in the stadium, ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said – The installation of these pitches is the final form of the project, which is unprecedented in international cricket. We have taken a deliberate and planned approach to this project, utilizing the best in the business in Damien Hough to ensure we have the best possible playing pitches for the eight World Cup matches in New York. Let us tell you that on June 3, the first and overall fourth match between Group D team South Africa and Sri Lanka will be seen on this ground. The stadium has been designed on the lines of state of art, which has a capacity of 34 thousand spectators.

Director Anup Srivastava said that we have always had a clear decision regarding the selection of statues that instead of celebrities, those great personalities who can inspire our future generations should be given a place in the museum. Till now, wax statues of 44 big personalities have been installed in the museum. Jaipur Wax Museum is the first such museum which is built in an almost 300 year old fort. Also, it is different from other museums of the world because every effigy here has been installed with a specially made set. Where each backdrop is adorned with hand-painted paintings, murals, exclusive mannequin accessories, exclusive photo walls and a special scent.
