This is the 6th double century of Root’s Test career and the third in the World Test Championship. Root completed his double century in 305 balls by taking a single during the 110th over bowled by Agha Salman. He played an innings of 262 runs in 375 balls with the help of 17 fours. There was a partnership of 454 runs for the fourth wicket between Harry Brook and Root. This is the highest partnership made by any team in Test against Pakistan. Till the time of writing the news, England has scored 710/4 runs and the team has taken a lead of 154 runs. Harry Brook (262*) and Jamie Smith (6*) are present at the unbeaten crease.
