Afghanistan Cricket Board Chief Executive (CEO) Naseeb Khan told Cricbuzz that the 39-year-old, who retired from Test cricket in 2019, will also retire from the 50-over format after the ICC tournament. Mohammad Nabi made his ODI debut in 2009 against Scotland. He impressed everyone by scoring a half-century in his very first match. He has played 165 ODIs so far in which he has scored 3549 runs at an average of 27.30 and also taken 171 wickets. He is currently playing the ODI series against Bangladesh in UAE. Mohammad Nabi may retire from ODIs Naseeb Khan also said that Nabi can continue playing T20 after his retirement from ODI cricket. “Yes, Nabi is retiring from ODIs after the Champions Trophy and he has informed the board about his wish,” Naseeb told Cricbuzz. He told me a few months ago that he wanted to end his ODI career after the Champions Trophy and we welcome his decision. After the Champions Trophy, I think, he is expected to continue his T20 career and that is the plan as of now.” Mohammad Nabi played a brilliant inning of 82 runs in the first match of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh going on in UAE. ED interrogated former captain Mohammad Azharuddin in money laundering case related to HCA, read big news

If the latest media reports are to be believed, the central agency has recorded the statement of the former cricketer under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). However, earlier the ED had asked Azharuddin to appear before him on October 3, but later he sought postponement of the notice for some time. On this demand of the former cricketer, ED extended the time and on October 8, he reached the ED office with his league team wearing white kurta-pajama to get his statement recorded. So if the reports of News18 are to be believed regarding this matter, then it is being said to be related to financial irregularities during the tenure of the former cricketer in Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). In connection with the said case, Anti Corruption Bureau of Telangana has registered three FIRs for embezzlement of Rs 20 crore. Apart from this, it has also been found that former officials of HCA allotted tenders to close associates at a price higher than the market rate, without proper tender process. Some receipts of this tender are also missing. But it is worth noting here that payment was made in advance by HCA, but the tender recipient did not do any work.
