On the other hand, PCB said in a short press release regarding the sudden postponement of the tournament that due to unavoidable circumstances, the tournament is being postponed with immediate effect. It is worth noting that a lot of money was spent by PCB to gather the participants of the tournament. Furthermore, a Pakistan Cricket Board confidant revealed that PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi had received several complaints that participants in the tournament had taken part with fake documentation, which could have led to problems in the selection of teams as well as the underlying issue of age fraud. This PCB confidant was quoted by News18 as saying- Junior tournaments are considered by the board as the backbone of preparing the right talent for first-class cricket and international performances. This is why despite the long selection process, Mohsin Naqvi got upset when he received several complaints, some of which were valid. PCB may suffer financial loss It is worth mentioning that 18 regional teams of the country participate in this National Junior Championship of Pakistan.
