The students’ protest started in the name of reservation, but now it has taken the form of violence. So far 300 people have lost their lives in this protest. Fearing the protesters, the country’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and come to India. According to many reports, Hindu minorities in Bangladesh have been attacked. Now regarding this, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria has requested the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to protect the Hindu minorities. Danish Kaneria appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Danish Kaneria tweeted on social media and wrote, India beware, some people inside your country are hoping for a Bangladesh-like situation. Beware of those trying to incite unrest for their own agenda. I urge the Prime Minister of India to intervene immediately to protect Bangladeshi Hindus. Videos of extremist groups attacking Hindu temples and minorities are going viral on social media. Many houses and business establishments of Hindus have also been looted in 27 districts of Bangladesh. Apart from this, Kali temple has been destroyed and burnt. ISKCON spokesperson Yudhishthira Govinda tweeted, “One of our ISKCON centres (on rent) in Meharpur was burnt down, including the idols of Lord Jagannath, Baldev and Subhadra Devi. Three devotees staying in the centre somehow managed to escape.”
