Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal made headlines in ICC Women’s T20 Rankings, this happened for the first time

Let us tell you that she has now become the first player in the country who has secured second position in the category of bowlers in T20 format. This is Iqbal’s career best ranking in T20. Also, she is the first woman bowler from Pakistan to achieve 754 rating points. Iqbal is just 8 points behind England’s Sophie Aselton (762) at number one. Apart from Iqbal in the top 10, Nashra Sandhu from Pakistan has reached 8th position with a jump of four places. Sarah Glenn of England women’s cricket team is at third position with 746 rating points. Apart from this, Sadia Iqbal became only the second Pakistani player to reach the top in the women’s rankings. Earlier, former Pakistani captain Sana Mir had reached the top in the ODI bowling rankings in 2018-2019. Also, after the England and South Africa match in the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, a lot of changes have been seen in the rankings. After this match, South African captain Laura Bulfart has jumped two places and is at third position in the batsmen’s category in T20 with 746 rating points. Also, South Africa’s Tazmin Britts has got the benefit of playing an inning of 57 runs against West Indies and she has reached sixth position with a jump of 1 place.
