Today i.e. on 7th August, Sri Lanka defeated India by 110 runs in the third ODI match played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Today, on 7th August, Sri Lanka defeated India by 110 runs in the third ODI match played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With this victory, Sri Lanka won the three-match ODI series 2-0. The performance of India’s batsmen was quite disappointing in this entire series. If we talk about Sri Lanka’s spinners, they left their mark in the ODI series.

In the third ODI, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, they scored 248 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Avishka Fernando batted very well for the team and played a valuable innings of 96 runs with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes in 102 balls. Avishka Fernando played aggressive cricket on behalf of Sri Lanka.

For the hosts, wicketkeeper batsman Kusal Mendis played an innings of 59 runs while Pathum Nissanka scored 45 runs. Kamindu Mendis contributed 23* runs. For India, Riyan Parag performed very well in bowling and took three wickets for 54 runs in 9 overs. For Sri Lanka, Dunith Wellalage took 5 wickets for 27 runs in 5.1 overs while Jeffrey Vandersay and Mahesh Theekshana took 2 wickets each. Asitha Fernando took one wicket. Sri Lanka defeated India in a bilateral series for the first time since 1997.

Like last time, Mallika Sagar is back as an auctioneer for the mega auction this year too. The franchises had submitted the list of retention and release players on October 31. BCCI has shortlisted 577 players for the upcoming auction, which includes 367 Indian and 210 foreign players.
