America’s Brosid Sports LLC announced the launch of the first edition of the Legends Intercontinental T20 League during a press conference at Shangri-La, New Delhi on Thursday. This spectacular tournament will see many legendary players from around the world playing. The tournament will be played from August 16 to August 28 at Moses Stadium, Texas, USA.

Former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel and former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee attended this great press conference. Both of them told all the reporters about the Legends Intercontinental T20 League. League CEO and former Ranji player Vishal Sharma announced the team and also told about the tournament schedule and players.

Let us tell you, this tournament will start from August 16 and a total of 7 teams will be seen playing in it. In the first edition, Indo Kings, Euro Rangers, Asian Avengers, American Mavericks, African Lions, Caribbean Vikings and Trans-Tasman Titans will clash with each other. LIT20 will be played in a single round robin format in which the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs after the knockout. A total of 24 great matches will be played and there will be a double header every day. The semi-final of Legends Intercontinental will be held on August 27 while the final match will be played on August 28.

Vishal Sharma gave his opinion about this wonderful tournament

Vishal Sharma said about the Legends Intercontinental Tournament, ‘We are all very excited that we are launching the Legends Intercontinental T20 League. All the star players from around the world will be seen playing in it. Cricket is growing very fast in the USA and this plan has been made so that all the cricket fans can see their favorite players playing once again. Cricket has a huge fan following in the USA too. Former Sri Lankan player T. Dilshan said, ‘I think the Legends Intercontinental T20 League will be a lot of fun. We can all relive old memories here. All of us players have played many matches together on the cricket field before and now once again the legends will be seen playing.’

Brett Lee said, ‘It is always great to get a chance to play again with the players you have always played with and the opposing team. This is the identity of a sport and we are all eagerly waiting for the upcoming tournament.’
