In an important match played on 31 July in The Hundred Men’s Tournament, Birmingham Phoenix defeated Trent Rocket by 6 runs at Trent Bridge Nottingham. In this match, Dan Mousley bowled brilliantly for Birmingham Phoenix and conceded just three runs in his last set.
Let us tell you, at one time Trent Rockets were in a very good position in this match and they had almost won it. They needed 10 runs in the last 10 balls and the team had five wickets left. Dan Mousley then bowled very well and gave only three runs in his last set. He started his last set with two dot balls. After this, he showed Lewis Gregory the way back to the pavilion. After this, Imad Wasim and Rashid Khan scored three runs in the next four balls.
Trent Rocket needed 7 runs from the last three balls and Dan Mousley bowled brilliantly and took the wicket of Rashid Khan. On the very next ball, this experienced all-rounder also dismissed Jordan Thomson. Not a single run came from the last ball of the match and Birmingham Phoenix won the match by 6 runs.
