The 11th match of Sheffield Shield 2024-25 was played between Western Australia and Victoria in Melbourne from 15-18 November. Victoria, chasing the target of 120 runs in the match, registered a spectacular victory by 8 wickets. Ashton Agar faced five balls
Western Australia spinner Ashton Agar suffered a shoulder injury on the third day of the game and was expected to miss the fourth day. But the player surprised everyone with his spirit. Western Australia had lost 9 wickets at 310 when Ashton came out to bat. Ashton then made a partnership of 15 runs with Joel Curtis and due to this, Curtis also completed his century.
Ashton Agar played only five balls in the second innings and despite the injury, Victoria’s bowlers created more problems for him. He was greeted by a bouncer, who hit him on the hand. Later, he defended some balls. He was out to Sam Elliott and Western Australia were all out at 325.

Victoria reached the top in the points table
Talking about the match between Western Australia and Victoria, Ashton Turner’s team was seen struggling with the bat from the beginning. The team was reduced to 167 in the first innings. In response, Victoria’s team scored 373 runs in the first innings.
Western Australia then scored 325 runs in the second innings thanks to Joel Curtis (119) and Hilton Cartwright (78). Victoria got a target of 120 runs to win, which they achieved easily.
With this win, Victoria’s team reached the top of the points table, while Western Australia is in second place. Both the teams have won 2 matches so far, drawn one and lost one.
