Rohit Sharma had attended an event, where fans demanded him to captain the ODI World Cup 2027.
Cricket fans can never forget the day of November 19, 2023 in their life. In the ODI World Cup, Team India reached the finals by winning 10 consecutive matches, but they had to face defeat against Australia by 6 wickets. When Rohit Sharma and company left to play T20 World Cup 2024, the fans’ wish was that the unfulfilled dream of October 19 should be fulfilled in Barbados, which the Indian team did.
On June 29, 2024, India defeated South Africa in the final and captured the ICC title after a long wait of 11 years. After the victory of Team India, fans say on social media that “For every November 19, there is a June 29″ (Every 19th November is replaced by 29th June)
However, there is still a huge void in the hearts of the fans and the Indian team that is yet to be filled. It seems this can only be accomplished by winning the 50-over World Cup. Recently, Rohit Sharma attended an event, where fans demanded him to captain the ODI World Cup 2027.
Fans started shouting Rohit Sharma’s name together
During the event, a member of the Mumbai Cricket Association said, “Aani, aakhya bharatkanna vittitha Rohit bhau na ithe karto. Humko aur ek World Cup chahiye (I humbly request Rohit bhai on behalf of all citizens of India. We want another World Cup).”
The person then asked the fans present there, “When is the World Cup coming to Astana, is Ahmala captain Konala Bagayacha? Konala Bagayacha (And that World Cup (2027 edition) for India, who do we all want to be the captain?)?”, the crowd then shouted Rohit Sharma’s name in unison.

Thank you (The fans present here have a great desire that you win another World Cup for the country, that’s all I have to say and I will stop here now. Thank you!)!”
Indian Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma expressed his gratitude to the fans and said thanks.
