Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has recently been seen criticizing the Indian management. In this criticism, Harbhajan has blamed the management for preparing spin-friendly pitches when Test matches end in 2-3 days.

On the other hand, pitches are always a topic of discussion when it comes to Test matches, especially in India, when big teams like Australia and England come to India to play. The Indian management always focuses on making such pitches that help the host team.

So sometimes, not only foreign teams face difficulty in batting on spin friendly pitches, but Indian batsmen also seem to be quite troubled. Big batsmen like Virat Kohli have also been affected by this in the recent past. It is worth noting that among the players who have played more than 8 Test matches in India after the year 2020, only Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja have an average above 40.

But now giving a big statement on this, Harbhajan has said that pitches play an important role in the game, but when the pitch starts turning from 3-4 days in a Test match, this is not seen now. And due to this the confidence of the batsmen has decreased.

Let us tell you that in a recent interview to Sports Tak, Harbhajan Singh said- We have started playing on pitches that take more turn. We wanted to win and we won but do we want to win in two and a half days?

I think, if we had prepared normal pitches that would have started turning from the third and fourth day, we would have still won but the batsmen would have got time to settle in. We would not have been discussing the problems our batsmen have against spinners. We have hurt the confidence of our batsmen, because on those pitches anyone gets out cheaply.
