Craig Brathwaite: After defeating Pakistan 3-0 in the Test series, Australia cricket team is currently playing a two-match Test series against West Indies. Australia has maintained the momentum by winning by 10 wickets in the first match of the series. West Indies were all out for 188 runs in the first innings. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins took 4-4 wickets. Australia also could not show anything special in the first innings, and were all out for 283 runs.

Travis Head played the highest innings (119 runs). West Indies were all out for 120 in the second innings due to Josh Hazlewood’s 5-wicket haul, and Australia were then set a target of 26 runs to win. Which the Kangaroos achieved easily. After the defeat in the first Test match against Australia, West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite has given a big statement.

We need more Test cricket- Kraigg Brathwaite

After the loss to Australia, Kraigg Brathwaite says that financial support will help West Indies a lot. But the team needs to play more matches. Also, Brathwaite says that after this series the team may get months of leave. And this will have a negative impact on the players.

Speaking at the post match presentation, Craig Brathwaite said, ‘The funding will be very good. But we need to play a lot more matches. Last year we played 6 matches. Even if we play 6 matches in a year, if these 6 matches are back-to-back then I have no problem. Because you go to learn.

‘It’s tough for a guy to play. Suppose he fails or succeeds. Whatever it is, your next Test match is six months away so it is very difficult to learn as a batsman.

Kraigg Brathwaite also expressed happiness that he has to play 9 test matches this year. He further said, ‘To experience what world-class bowlers and batsmen do. For this we need more Test cricket.
