The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this test match, Team India’s middle order batsman Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant century. With this century, Sarfaraz has now become the new troubleshooter of Team India. Sarfaraz Khan scored his first Test century against New Zealand at a time when the team needed it most.

Sachin Tendulkar, who is called ‘God of Cricket’ also praised his century innings. Sarfaraz, who was out for 0 in the first innings of the Test match against New Zealand in Bangalore, has put India in a strong position by scoring a century in the second innings. Sachin Tendulkar posted on X on Sarfaraz Khan’s century and wrote, “Sarfaraz Khan, what an opportunity this was for you to score your first Test century when India needed it most!” Apart from Sarfaraz Khan, Sachin also praised New Zealand’s centurion Rachin Ravindra.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote for Rachin Ravindra, “Cricket connects us to our roots. Rachin Ravindra has a special connection with Bangalore, where his family hails from! Another century to his name.” The Master Blaster concluded, “There are exciting times ahead for these two talented youngsters.”

Talking about the match, before the fourth day’s play was stopped due to rain, the brilliant batting of Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant brought India back into the match. Sarfaraz Khan scored the first century of his Test career, while Rishabh Pant is at the crease scoring his 12th Test half-century.

There was also a century partnership between the two for the fourth wicket. Sarfaraz is present at the crease after scoring 125 runs and Pant has scored 53 runs. India is now 12 runs behind New Zealand and has 7 wickets in hand. It will be interesting to see how Team India, which was once looking far behind in this Test match, will make a comeback from here.
