There has been a debate going on for a long time as to who is better between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar made many records in a career spanning more than two decades, some of which are still unbroken. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has challenged his records with his consistency. Virat recently broke Tendulkar’s record of most ODI centuries in the World Cup 2023.

Although, it is difficult to break the record of 100 centuries of the former Indian cricketer, but Kohli is just 20 centuries away from it. He is still very fit and has a lot of cricket left in him. So it is interesting to see how many records of Sachin he destroys.

Former England cricketer David Lloyd has given his opinion on this debate. When he was asked to choose between Sachin and Kohli for the ultimate Test-playing XI, he termed the star Indian batsman as a “personable chap”.

I did a little research and found on social media that you can only have one,” Lloyd was quoted as saying by TOI. 95 percent said Sachin. Some are telling me, criticizing me, some are even asking questions. This is ridiculous. There is only one answer. One thing that came to light was that Sachin used to leave his ego at home. I think the other guy Virat Kohli is quite a personable chap.

He further said, Virat Kohli is incredible, but I would have chosen Sachin. If I had a choice between Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara in a Test match, I would choose Lara. So Sachin and Kohli are two great players in test matches. There is no debate in choosing between the two.
