WPL 2024, MUM-W vs UP-W: The 6th match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 was played between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriors. UP Warriors captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Mumbai Indians put 161 runs on the board at the loss of 6 wickets.

UP Warriors chased down the target with 21 balls remaining and won by 7 wickets. This is the first win for UP Warriors and first defeat for Mumbai Indians this season.

WPL 2024: Haley Mathews played a half-century innings

Coming to bat first against UP Warriors, Mumbai Indians got a good start. There was a partnership of 50 runs for the first wicket between Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Mathews. Yastika Bhatia scored 26 runs in 22 balls. Whereas Haley Mathews played an inning of 55 runs in 47 balls with the help of 9 fours and 1 six.

Nate Siver-Brunt contributed 19 runs and Amelia Karr contributed 23 runs. On the strength of which Mumbai Indians were able to score 161 runs in 20 overs. Anjali Sarwani, Grace Harris, Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gaikwad took 1 wicket each for UP Warriors.

Kiran Navgire led UP Warriors to victory

Chasing the target, UP Warriors got a great start from the opening pair of Alyssa Healy and Kiran Navgire. Vrinda Dinesh is injured due to which Kiran Navgire came to open. Kiran Navgire showed a brilliant game by hitting hard on Mumbai Indians. Kiran played an inning of 57 runs in 31 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Alyssa Healy scored 33 runs in 29 balls with the help of 5 fours.

Grace Harris scored 38 runs with the help of 6 fours and 1 six in 17 balls and Deepti Sharma played an unbeaten inning of 27 runs with the help of 4 fours in 20 balls. On the strength of which UP Warriors won. Ishi Wong took the maximum of 2 wickets, and Amelia Karr took 1 wicket.
