Australia’s best spinner Adam Zampa was retained by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.50 crore before the IPL 2024 auction. However, before the start of the tournament, Adam Zampa pulled himself out of the IPL due to personal reasons. Recently the best spinner made a big revelation regarding this thing.

According to Adam Zampa, he wanted to participate in IPL 2024 but he has played a lot of cricket since last year and he is quite tired at the moment. Not only this, T20 World Cup is also to be played in the month of June and that is why he wants to give some rest to his mind and body.

Adam Zampa told Willow Talk Podcast, ‘There are many reasons due to which I have not been able to participate in this season’s IPL. I think the most important thing is that the World Cup is this year and I am very tired of 2023. I played the entire IPL last year and then also participated in the World Cup in India for 3 months.

That’s why I wanted to participate in the Indian Premier League this year too but I felt that I should refuse the offer from Rajasthan Royals and focus completely on the World Cup and this is more important for me.

The brilliant Australian spinner further said, ‘It was ultimately my decision and I wanted to give rest to my body and mind. It is not at all easy to spend 9 weeks in India and then make a place in your national team. It was really a very difficult decision because this voice was definitely coming in my mind that it would be very difficult to withdraw from IPL.
